The Osborn Family has been in the apparel business since 1946 . They have built a name that is synonymous with excellence and quality.

In 1946 , five Osborn Brothers ( Bill, Charles, David, Lynne and Spencer ) bought an existing clothing manufacturing business in downtown Los Angeles , CA. The Osborn brothers began contracting business in the Los Angeles area.  A year later, in 1947, the brothers agreed to move their garment manufacturing firm ( Osborn Apparel, Inc. ) to their home state of Utah. In downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, they established a small shop, which prospered to five plant locations and over 400 employees. 

In 1970 , they opened their present headquarters in West Valley City, Utah . Osborn Apparel, Inc. has had an excellent reputation in producing quality products and has done contract work for: Pendleton, White Stag, Eddie Bauer, and Jantzen.

Success breeds success. In 1974 , Spencer Osborn's son (David Osborn) founded Osborn Specialty Sewing, Inc . David chose the Cobblestones Activewear (TM) name for his company. He chose the name Cobblestones, because when he traveled to Boston as a child, he never forgot how people still used those beautiful cobblestone roads to get to their destinations. He wanted his company to symbolize those cobblestones (strong, working closely together to form an organization that would lead people down the road of happiness).

Cobblestones Activewear enjoyed contract sewing for such fine companies as: Nike, Pierre Cardin, Laguna, Jordache, Hind, Dolphin and Amity. David decided to focus on building his own brand and started making athletic apparel (due to his love of athletics and the market potential). Since then, the company manufactures quality apparel under the Cobblestones Activewear and GAME GEAR brands.

In keeping Cobblestones a family business, David brought on his brother Mark as General Manager. David's sister Patti was put in charge of the credit department as CFO. David's sister Judy is over Accounts Payable and brother Joe is the Production Manager. David's son Cade is heading the next generation of Osborn's to work within the business.

Over time, improvements in: technology, sales representation, production, shipping, training, cost control, customer service, marketing and team management has helped the company prosper. Cobblestones has continued to grow and become a large manufacturer by providing exceptional quality , with low prices and on-time delivery .  That's why approximately 6,000 dealers choose Cobblestones.
