recognize a business that has served our community for two or more generations.
We want to honor their commitment to our community and their success.
Sam Weller's Books
Sam Weller’s Books is a full service bookstore occupying roughly 30,000
square feet (half storage) and employing nearly thirty diligent and
experienced booksellers. We sell new, second hand and rare books of all
topics. We also sell periodicals, cards and stationary. We provide
special services to libraries, schools and institutions. We also
perform appraisals. Sam Weller’s Books is a member of the American
Booksellers Association, the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of
America and the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Association. It is
also a member of The Salt Lake Vest Pocket Business Coalition, Local
First, the Downtown Merchants Association and the Salt Lake Chamber of
Commerce, which awarded Sam Weller’s Books with the 2009
Entrepreneurial Success Award. The bookstore was founded in 1929 and is
in it’s third generation of family operation.
